Participation of Fatih TAŞ's in "Disagreements in Mathematics" Workshop

Dr. Fatih TAŞ participated in the Disagreements in Mathematics workshop held on 19-20 June with the cooperation of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Universität Hamburg.

In the workshop attended by mathematics researchers from different countries, disagreements on mathematics were the subject. In the two-day meeting, the following topics were discussed.

Paul Ernest (University of Exeter): Rejection, Disagreement, Controversy and Acceptance in Mathematical Practice: Episodes in the Social Construction of Infinity
Andrew Aberdein (Florida Institute of Technology): Deep Disagreement in Mathematics.
Eugénie Hunsicker (University of Loughborough): The ethics of inclusion in mathematics.
Graham Priest (University of Melbourne): Applied Mathematics.
Roy Wagner (ETH Zurich): Consensus.
Benedikt Löwe (Cambridge University) : Disagreement of peer reviewers in mathematics.
