The Department of Mathematics and Science Education
offers B. A. and M. A. in Mathematics and Science Education which aim to raise teachers and scientists who keep up with technological developments and who are devoted to principles and rules of modern education, and competent in scientific and critical thinking in the field of mathematics and science education. Upon completing all requirements stated in the curriculum, the students will be granted Mathematics and Science Education diploma.
Graduates of the four year B. A. programme are elligible to teach at state and private schools as elementary mathematics/science teachers or work as instructors at state or private universities. Graduates of the two year M. A. programme are elligible to apply as instructors/lecturers at universities or continue their education at Ph. D. level. The department first started admitting students in 2011-2012 academic year and graduated its first students in 2015-2016 academic year. Currently, there are 13 academic personnel (6 at elementary mathematics education division and 7 at science education division) at our department.
