School Education in Japan

Mathematics Educator Prof. Dr. Tatsuya MIZOGUCHI from Tottori University, Japan, gave a seminar titled “School Education in Japan” as part of the Culture and Mathematics course.

 

The seminar, which was given online on May 13, 13:30 in classroom number 231, was attended by our department faculty members, graduate students, and Elementary Mathematics Teaching 2nd and 3rd year students taking the Culture and Mathematics course.

 

The seminar covered the following topics:

- History of education in Japan

- Japanese education system

- Lesson study in Japan

- Mathematics education in Japan.
