“Culture and Mathematics in Italy: A Journey Through Education and Heritage” Was Held

Michele G. Fiorentino (PhD), Mathematics Educator from the University of Bari, held a seminar titled “Culture and Mathematics in Italy: A Journey through Education and Heritage” within the scope of the Culture and Mathematics course.
 
On January 9, 13.00, the seminar was held online in classroom 224 and was attended by faculty members of our department, graduate students, 2nd year students of Elementary Mathematics Education taking the Culture and Mathematics course and 1st year students of Elementary Mathematics Education taking the History of Mathematics course.
 
Seminar covered following topics.
-Art and architecture in the context of Italian History 
-Italian culture
-Mathematics and education in Italy
-Mathematics teacher training in Italy
